Forthright and broad lingering with blackberry, cherry, forest floor, and white pepper scents; slightly herbaceous. The palate is sturdy with lively tannins; wild and earthy; noticeable acidity.
The estates history dates back to 1648 when the Roman Empire awarded 600 hectares to the Locatelli family. Nearly 400 years later and Marta Locatelli has taken the reigns, continuing the tradition of sustainable farming, including 75 hectares of grape vines including some of the rarest varieties in Italy.
